Something not working, or an idea for Recto? Write to [email protected]. A real person reads every message.
How do I add a recipe?
On a recipe page in Safari, or a post in Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, tap Share and choose Recto. You can also tap + in Recto and paste a link or a recipe's text, take a photo of a cookbook page or a handwritten card, pick photos (both Recto Pro), or write one yourself with Create.
A recipe didn't come out right.
Open it, tap ⋯ and Edit: everything on the page can be changed. If a site never reads well, send us its link and we'll look at it.
Why are imports limited?
Each import is read by an AI model on our server, which costs us a little every time. Recto includes 5 imports a week for free; Recto Pro gives you unlimited imports (a fair-use limit, far beyond what anyone cooks, only stops automated abuse). Recipes you write yourself are always free.
What's in Recto Pro?
Unlimited imports, recipes from photos, every recipe in your language, groceries by aisle, timers on your Lock Screen, your library on every device through your own iCloud, pages of your own, and PDF and printing. Cooking Mode, servings and units, the grocery list and sharing are free for everyone. The yearly plan starts with a free week, once per Apple Account.
How do I restore or cancel Recto Pro?
To restore it on a new iPhone: Recto › Settings › Restore Purchases. To cancel: the iPhone's Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Recto. Cancelling keeps Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
Where are my recipes kept?
On your device. With Recto Pro they're also kept in your own iCloud, so they show up on your other devices. We never have a copy. Read more, and how to remove your data, in the Privacy Policy.
How do I change the language?
Recto › Settings › Language opens Recto in the iPhone's Settings, where you can pick English, Turkish, Spanish, Portuguese or French. Recipes stay in the language they were written in, and Recto Pro can translate them.
